Giving a town its look.
Challenge: Ypsilanti Township, often overshadowed by nearby Ann Arbor and confused with the City of Ypsilanti, needed to establish its own identity. They sought a recognizable logo and seal that would give both longtime residents and newcomers a sense of “home” and belonging.
Solution: Develop a distinct brand rooted in local pride. The new logo featured Ford Lake—one of the township’s most iconic landmarks—as its centerpiece. A complementary official seal and full suite of branded collateral were also created to ensure consistency across all communications and touchpoints.
Result: The new brand successfully gained local recognition, helping Ypsilanti Township distinguish itself from neighboring cities. The success of the project also led to the Ypsilanti Water Department commissioning a design for their water tower, specifically requesting to collaborate with the same team behind the township's brand.
